For all the people that sell on the internet at your business or at your work, the USPS is breaking down. First Class Mail has basically stopped in Michigan. A huge hub in Pontiac, that supports the lower 1/4 of the state of Michigan has stopped. For how lng, who knows. But its been 3 days now.
Its just a matter of time before someone gets sick at the Priority Mail Hub in Allen Park, MI (First Class/letters and Priority Mail are handled completely separate in different hubs) and they close that.
I'm sure this same scenario is playing out in all major cities that supply all the small communities too. People in smaller communities act like they aren't affected by the big cities but thats where they get their mail, water, power, fuel, .....
For our business, right NOW I am just shipping Priority and UPS.
1/2 my phone calls are "wheres my stuff!"

In my area (Inland PNW) it seems all USPS packages go through Seattle. About 1 1/2 weeks ago, they had a package I'd shipped for several days, not the usual deal for sure. Seattle being hit pretty hard with the virus, I figured that was likely the issue. The buyer was kinda hopping up & down for a few days, but did receive the package. Junk mail & bills appear unaffected ! Anything I sell, I'll advise the buyer that even shipping is affected. In your case, maybe something on your home page or however the process works, can save you some grief. You've probably already thought of that, though. Some people are gonna be pretty crabby, being cooped up, inconvenienced, & waiting on basically everything.

Some offices are limiting the number of packages shipped at one time. With the 6 foot distancing between people the lines are extended outside, sometimes into the parking lot. Processing more than two boxes is time consuming. What they are doing is if you are a volume shipper you have to make an appointment to ship more than two boxes.

1/2 my phone calls are "wheres my stuff!" Well if that's true, I guess my brother is never going to get the whole foods gift card I mailed him last Sat. He's locked down in the belly of the beast... Brooklyn. (Still hadn't arrived on Friday)

A version of that should be SOP at all times. Our local post office is just down the street from Fort Detrick and down the same street in the opposite direction is Hood College. It gets slammed. So, I used to drive out to a small town Post Office that almost no one ever uses. It was always quick in, quick out. Until I got stuck behind a couple who had come in two vehicles, each completely stuffed with packages. Must have been at least 50 packages. There I stood with my one box. Not once did it occur to them to let me go ahead and get out of there. While that's an extreme case, some limit on the number of packages you can process during one turn at the counter would be reasonable. Especially at our PO near Fort Detrick. That place is nuts during the run up to Christmas.

One the bright side with no mail, the bills will stop coming in! as well as all the JUNK mail ! to "little john"; if all the junk mail were to be eliminated, three days would be enough for sure ! Then they'd go bankrupt even faster than they are... But I have enjoyed the near complete disappearance of junk mail. 1 of the few pieces I did get the last 2 weeks, I actually used for a change... 1year maint notice & $49 oil change/fluid check/tire rotation from the dealer where we bought of Buick Wagon last yr... I used it Friday... hence the other police trap post yesterday.

Heck for that price, it's a no brainer for me to let them do it on my 2000 Ram and 2002 Durango. I wait in the waiting room and talk to my buddy that works in the parts dept.

Plus it was the 12month/12k check up time... and they fixed a sunroof seal under warranty.
