Had to remove a pan and weld in some baffles/trap door to solve this problem. Stock pan allows too much oil out of the middle portion of a stock pan.

I had my 340 suck the pan dry at 7000. How do I know, low oil pressure light and a spun rod bearing. High volume oil pump and a stock capacity pan and 7000 rpm in each gear including drive dont work well.
Yes I spanked the Mustang through the mile mark but at what cost. So I built a stroker 422ci best rod bearing I ever spun.

How else?

When I see my oil pressure drop under acceleration instead of climb rapidly, I can only assume I am sucking air.
