69 B-body dash mounted center front speaker has a mounting plate with an offset. It looks like it can mount either way. Does the long side of the offset go to the front or rear? Also wire terminals are they to the left or right? Thanks.

Center speaker wiring is typically pointed toward the LH (driver side). This is also the side of the radio where the speaker wires are attached. Can't remember if the bracket has a specific orientation.

Thanks. I sort of figured the wires would be on the left. I just would like to mount it correctly even though no one will see it. Hopefully someone will have a mounting answer.

Right. I just need to know which way the offset goes on the speaker mount to dash frame.

Not sure if this will help. This is a dash assembly I pulled out of a 4 door parts car that was pretty much unmolested. It looks like the bracket has a front/back offset.

Thanks. That confirms what I have done. At first it seemed like it could go either way. Once I finished the sub assembly and installed the defroster ducts it would only fit one way due to the defroster duct angular mount studs. Thanks again.

I'm pretty sure that bracket only fits one way.
