So went to start the Cuda yesterday after sitting a few weeks. And it lit, then died and wouldn't re-start. Traced in to lack of fuel. I run a mechanical pump with the electric booster. Had fuel and power to the pump, but the pump wouldn't make a sound. I powered it on and off and tapped on it as I have seen them stick, but it won't make a sound. Pulled it off and by-passed it and the engine fired right up. Interesting how it wouldn't let fuel past since it spends most of it's time off while the mechanical runs the car. But that would all the more make me tend to think it is stuck.

A new pump is $285. This one has been on the car for 10 years or so and has never given me any trouble. But crap like this is why I use the mechanical for the day to day driving. Can the Holley be repaired? Should I just tear into it? Looking for advice.

Thanks.

Oh, it's a gerotor pump. https://www.holley.com/products/fue...bureted_electric_fuel_pumps/parts/12-150

I've never had one of those pumps apart but I would take it apart to see what is causing the motor and pump to not turn, grit, rust or? in the pump and or rust and or corrosion in the motor scope
I've used and had to fix a bunch of the old Holley Blue race 110 GPH pumps, they have thin carbon ,I don't know the proper name of the things that slide in and out to make those pump work, pieces that wear and break off, I've also had the seal between the pump and motor go bad so you had to replace the bottom pump part to make them usable again wrench
I stop using the Holley pumps and switch to BG for race only and then to Magna fuel pumps for street and strip cars up
Please let us know what you find luck

Rotory vanes

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
