It's interesting to hear the kudos for the First Edition. To me, they were a vocal group that managed to gain traction as an unhip group trying to be relevant with contemporary psychedelia. The rest of their output was ho-hum.

I much prefer his crossover Country output, but that was also during my coming of age, so it stands to reason.
