I guess then you don't partake in EDM?

Not sure what to make of this being from the first era, I find both eras music enjoyable.

No I don't like club music or pop either. Ditto country music as well.

I worked at multiple jobs in the past where classic rock music was played all the time and I had no control over it. I've just heard all those 70's and 80's top ten hit songs a million times and can't deal with them anymore. Most are before my time so I never really "got" them so that doesn't help either. People tend to cling to music they find as a teenager for the most part.

My reference to EDM is I suspect in your eyes is very similiar to endlessly listening to 70's "Stairway"ad infinite um.

I personally like/dislike all music equally. work

Listening to the classics on YouTube. Here are a couple:

Randy California (Spirit), Bob Welch, Jeff Baxter, and others - I Got A Line On You - Live (1984)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKHumCiFI-U

Matthews Southern Comfort - Woodstock - (1970) In my opinion, the best version of Joni Mitchell's classic.

Hozier did a live broadcast - listening to igot me thinking of my Irish friends I'd lost. From there I ended up back at one of my all time faves Glen Hansard. I've been fortunate to see him live a number of times, even met him once.

shruggy

A good piece of music is a good piece of music regardless of "era." My personal music library includes everything from symphony, the blues, Miles Davis & Pat Metheny jazz all the way up to punk & metal. That way the music I choose can serve whatever mood I'm in.... Currently been focusing on stuff like Gene Vincent & Bo Diddley.

Just listened to the Shins' "Oh, Inverted World!" for the first time in 10 years or so. Used to listen to it a lot when it was newer.

Then had to show my wife Broken Bells.

But generally I have been listening to stuff on my Spotify weekly playlist, so they're algorithmic suggestions. Also been rediscovering some LPs from when I had a college radio show, so the latest was Creme Soda's "Tricky Zingers."
