have you wired up a switch to activate the reverse without having to keep your finger on the button (a real pain in tight pit spots) and if you have how did you do it? pics and diagrams welcome.

Nope. Just shifter in reverse, push the button, back up. I'm a KISS kind of person. No switches and crap that aren't needed.
Button on the right side of the wheel. Never found it to be a problem. Had to turn the wheel, then push the button on occasion.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

The Turbo Action Pro brake doesn't require it be engaged for reverse to function. I know a lot don't like the TA brake, but it works OK for me.

I ran the TA brakes for years and had real good luck with them, but I upgraded to a CRT pro brake when i switched over to the BB and 727 set up and the button is just a pain in tight spots and close quarters when you have to manuver in reverse and be able to see where you are going, i'm just not as limber as I once was.

My car came with a toggle switch mounted down low on the passenger side of the metal shifter box and the race one mounted into the steering wheel. Using the toggle switch to back up is way easier than trying to use the button on the steering wheel I am with Cab , i mounted a toggle switch on side of shifter cover . Brake button is mounted off dash beside tacho Tex

Use the 3 pin neutral/reverse switch located on the case. T splice a wire to the hot side of the trans brake switch. T splice a wire to the feed side of the trans brake switch. Connect these 2 new wires to the outer 2 terminals of the factory 3 pin N/R switch. Now when you put the trans in reverse it will apply the trans brake. For safety I would add a toggle switch in line in the new Hot feed wire. That way you can turn this feature off when going down track. Doug

I ended up not using my T-brake valve body but I had planned to use the reverse lights. It was quite the adventure to find that wiring in my car, until i remembered it had a console originally(I also wanted my back up lights to work again).
