Finishing up the swap into the Dakota and went to fire it up to fill it with coolant. Ran for about a minute and died. Has spark at plug and good pressure at rail. It will start by pouring gas into throttle body. No codes.
If my feeble mind is remembering correctly, isn't this a bad crank sensor? work

Without the crank sensor you won't get spark. Make sure that you have 12v to the injectors. I've got 2000 Durango manual out in my Barracuda right now, but I believe that the injector power is different than the Auto Shutdown Relay.

Thanks, Jim, appreciate the help. up
From what I can find online, I should have 12v at the injector w/ key on/start and the ground pulse coming from the PCM? If I have the 12v at the injectors, my problem then is the ground side? What triggers the PCM to ground the injectors?
Online diagrams are hard to follow, at least to me. Never can seem to find a decent one. frown

The distributor pickup plate. The Hall effect pickup under the plate specifically is what batch fires the injectors.

Im going off of memory so bear with me.

ASD relay controls the power side of the injectors.
PCM controls ground side which is what fires the injector when needed. AFTER it sees crank and cam sensor pulses

Been a while since Ive worked on one so I might be wrong here

Do you have 12v with the key in Start 1 & Start 2 positions? Check all your grounds.
