I have been on the list for over 7 years and have read various comments about how Jamie is a good person etc etc, I tend to disagree as he treats the people waiting to spend money with him like fools, never updates what is happening with his transmission let alone give us a light at the end of the tunnel.
I am sure many will defend him but just sit back and think would you wait 7 years for any product and be happy with no updates??
I keep hearing that he has had component supply issues, how long does this go on for, any normal business would look at an alternative supplier.
To make things worse people who have been on the list for a lot less time have received transmissions, unfortunately Jamie must think people like looking at their cars and will wait forever for him.
Sorry for the long winded rant but just sick of the waste of 7 years.

From the couple of times I have talked to him, and after learning about the way he acts at shows, I would have to agree the guy is not a good person. Kind of a tool in my experience.

I was on the list from 2010 at the start til 2017 when i received my trans.... Yes 7 years is a long time, but this trans is worth it! Everyone has different opinions of Jamie.... I consider Jamie an asset to our Mopar community. I get he's a little brazen at times, but Jamie as all of us has life slap him in the face as well. I have tremendous respect for the undertaking of the project, and having your name associated with all the issues that come with it. Most of which are out his control.... There have been bumps in the road with my experience, but Jamie has never once not stepped up to help or make sure my problems have been resolved in some way. That means a lot in my book. He's human and a business man! Again, this is just my take from years of buying, and dealing with Jamie. I feel this trans is worth the wait, but if you don't there are other alternatives... up

i don't know him personally but from a small business stand point, i'm sure the guy is standing on his head. none of us know the extent of investment into this project and apparently there are more people than just Jamie at Passon Performance. this is a huge undertaking. most oems wouldn't even release a trans that's hasn't been tested fully. and of those transmissions I know the oems destroy more than Jamie has even built. so seven years to develop and build a trans on a limited budget with other projects looming and a business to run and family responsibilities, it gets hard. as far as I know he hasn't taken any money for preorders and then not delivered like has been done plenty of time in the past. would some more updates be good. yeah. but managing all this social media stuff takes time too. good luck to him and to all the guys waiting in line. i'm on the wait list too.

Unless I missed something Jamie hasn't posted anything about this transmission since March 2018. I can appreciate being busy running a business and dealing with family matters but he started this post to create interest and future sales of this transmission, He certainly could of taken a few minutes sometime in the last two years to inform us about any progress or problems with the project.

My point exactly, why treat us like a nobody, I understand he is busy but then again most people are and can someone tell me why people on the so called "list" are having to wait up to 10 years when others not on the list have received transmissions.
If only the alternatives fitted with less hassle I am sure many would be happy to tell Jamie where to put his list .

His list is no shorter.

He'll supply a bunch (like maybe 8 or 9; not really a bunch) to Jamie, and a few to his close friends.

I believe Jamie and John are working together. When Jamie called me and said mine was ready I was excited. When it arrived, I immediately noticed that it was shipped from John address. So whom ever list you are on probably doesn't matter.

I believe that John tests all the transmissions then crates them and sends them out.

After watching this post for all of these years I'm glad I didn't bother and stayed with my automatic.

Jerry,

It is actually a .7 OD. . That's why I wanted to go this route. Tremec is either .64 or .82. . I received mine a little over a year ago. Jamie called one day and said it was ready if I still wanted it. My car has 4.10's in it and is a dream to drive down the freeway now. 75 mph = 2500 rpm, and it has plenty of run out. The math shows 175 mph = 6000 rpm. I've had it to 135.

the 5 spd is a .7 od. correct? the overdrive 4 speed gear set as far as I know is only a .8 reduction. which in my opinion is still valuable if the cost wascheaper. but since its not, to me seems prohibitively expensive, other than you can get it tomorrow.

I saw something about them making a gm version of this trans as well and i'm wondering if they are more tied up making the gm stuff and not the mopar stuff since the market is bigger.

Last summer I spoke with Seth Garrett of GFI and he said the GM transmissions were still in testing phase. However, they are coming.... and you KNOW that market is much bigger than ours. Garrett Fuss Inc is the company producing the A855 and the 5 speed muncie trans.

That's good to hear My cay has 4.10s as well. I will be putting mine in in the next few months.

maybe i'm a little dense here. which trans has the .7 od? i'm pretty sure its just the 5 spd. everything I've found on the 4 spd od says .8 od.

as with anything supply and demand drives the costs, and those than can pay, will.

Every time I go to MATS in las Vegas, John Huff will have about 4-5 to sell right there. No list, no waiting. Must pay right there and take home on the spot.

Who do you go thru for warranty? I think Jamie won't honor the warranty since it was not purchased thru him.

GFI does all the warranty work, but don't expect Jamie to go to bat for you if you don't purchase through him..... That would be my take on the subject. Thats just my twocents
