Anyone done any back to back testing on the stock intakes? Flow bench, drgastrip or actual dyno testing? I am curious what would be the best ones if hood clearance and such are not an issue, does the flat runners on the front of an SRT 6.4 intake make less power than a truck intake with straighter butt longer runners? Does a ported 6.1 flow as much and I know they run a lot hotter, how much does heat soak affect it? I know the eagle intake is pretty good but it is sharper curves and smaller port size, just how good/bad is it compared to the different 6.4 intakes?

It is my understanding that the truck 5.7 intake is essentially the same as the car 6.4 minus the inlet location. The intake was developed for the 5.7 trucks and then had the inlet modified for the 6.4 cars. The 6.4 car intake has the worst distribution of all gen3 hemi intakes.

I would love to see someone test the truck 6.4 intake as that one has the most drastically different runners and plenum (larger).

Best is a relative term, there is no one intake that is best for all gen3 applications.

The eagle truck and 6.4 car intake are quite different, the front runners on the car intake are smashed for hood clearance, the truck ones are not, the truck eagle intake has smaller runners that are not as good a match for the SRT heads butt they are not smashed in the front.

I'm struggling to decipher what I'm looking at, is it BGE 6.4 intake VS SRT 6.4 intake? Witch line is witch?

Yes 6.4 truck vs 6 4 car intake. Truck manifold is the higher output

I don't think a 5.7 could make that much TQ, Im thinking BGE. I'm gonna start looking for one for my truck.

I'll bet it's a 5.7, those torque numbers don't seem unattainable.

I wouldn't say it is impossible but that is 1.34 LBS per CID

BES engine master 400 Hemi made 1.24 and it was really good so it would need to be a very very well built 5.7 to do that and probably a happy dyno unless I am totally missing something.

Does the BGE intake help an eagle 5.7 then? Or is the 16+ 5.7 truck manifold the best if you have the hood clearance?

Stay tuned I will being doing just that!

Need to get a Terminator X max from Holley because Summit doesn't have them. WTH?

The bottom end is a 3.79 stroke .020 over 5.7
It has a 6.1 cam in it.
This was supposed to be for a project that never took off.
Heads are semi ported 5.7 early heads.
Intakes I have are.
Drag pack
CASCAR Prefix
old truck intake.
6.1 intake
drag pack and CASCAR obviously i will be using a carb.
Have long tube headers and factory SRT headers.
Hopefully in a couple of months I'll have some results.

I wonder the best way to ship you a mess of intakes, I have car and truck early 5.7s and car and truck eagle intakes. My truck 6.4 intake is burned on the top so no use but to look at. I guess only the early car intake will fit your block, the 6.4 truck intake looks like it will fit an early block, doubt an SRT 6.4 will fit it butt maybe. I think only the BGE, 6.1 early car, and early truck intakes fit your earlier block (I assume your running an early block because of the 6.1 cam).

Wonder if it's possable to modify the 6.4 truck intake , by chopping the angled throttle body section off . then making adaptor to for straight TB , then lock it in short runner position.
