I took the massive overnight price increase as them telling people......”we don’t really wanna sell cam kits for the classic engine platforms any longer”.
There was a short period of time, right after the big price hike, where the BB 509 cam kit was $500.
Edit...... looks like it went back up. They really don’t wanna sell those anymore(the Comp Cams version is over $300 cheaper).

Alot of people who bought summits dump on these cams at 175 are now graciously offering them on ebay and even here for $50 off current price but like the hydro cam listed here mopar blew it on packing. Like the one posted here the cheap lifter boxes always came apart and the lifers weather solid or hydro were like 16 in a tumbler beating dents in each other,
I bought a couple them and summit knew the problem then when I called and swapped out both sets with new in box comps which seem to be what solids were in the pre 2017 mopar kits at least.
As posted after the summit dump at 175 shipped after a few months (restock) poof 2x or better the prior cost for the same junk.
STOP POTATO HATE!

Ridiculous. Too many other options for a good cam at a much cheaper price to give Mopar Performance any of my money.

The thing is....... it’s only $500+ for that one cam kit. The 509-108 cam. The others are like $375...... including the 509-114.
Makes zero sense.

Makes zero sense. It's Mopar Performance. Not much they do anymore makes sense...

I am in the market for a cam. I noticed that too about the two 509 cams. I was trying to figure out why the large price difference?

If I were looking to buy the MP 509-108 cam...... I’d pocket the close to $300 price difference and run the Comp PP292H instead.
