I pretty much gave up. After years of being on the list and making calls and texts to John and Jamie. I'm no closer than I was 5 years ago. I would love to not have to cut my trans tunnel. But it's looking more and more like it will have to happen.

Incredibly sad. Great solution. Hard to understand the problem with the backlog of folks waiting to buy. I can understand initial growing pains and also issues with not being a high volume customer for the parts but still it's been a long time. Would love to buy one!!!

Well according to a Facebook post on B-body Mopar. If you know a guy named John Huff you can by pass the list and buy one off of him in a matter of weeks. Guy states he got on Johns list and only had to wait 6-weeks. Talk about pissing a bunch of people off.

We all know Jamie pretty good. For him not to come on here and say something, there has to be something going on in his personal life. I do not know if this is true, I did not hear anything but this is not like him. To have somebody all of a sudden start selling them and not under his business something is going on. Just saying

This didn't just start happening. John Huff invested in the project several years ago, and has been selling the transmission ever since.

Yeah but how many people have been on the list for 8-10 years waiting in good faith for a product that has been promised to them and people calling this John guy and get one in 6 weeks. How many people are on the list know any of this is going on? John posted a pic on Facebook with a pile of 855,s laying around getting ready to get shipped out. I don’t care how you cut it, that’s bad business!

They should have taken care of people on the list FIRST and that has not happened! Point this out to John Huff on Facebook and he gets all upset and starts trashing you. Of course that Facebook post went missing after his tirade. I wouldn't buy a rake from a guy that acts like he does!

Yes I understand this, but I don't believe he was going to sell them. I thought he just invested in the trans? He selling them and Jamie is not?

The guy who made the post said he bought it off of John Huff and took 6 weeks to get it. Like I said John replied with a pic of 855,s laying everywhere and yes somebody deleted the post also.

I have dealt with John and Jamie, and they are both good guys. I don't know the specifics of their business arrangement, but it appears one simply has a shorter "waiting list".

How does the warranty go with John Huff? Who warranties his?

I have all the same concerns. Drop a bunch of money on a startup solution and risk a lack of support. But, it's a perfect solution to the OD problem.

1 - Keeps ratios close
2 - Good shift quality
3 - Excellent rated torque capacity
4 - Completely integrated into the car without cutting
5 - Few pounds lighter than an 833
6 - Keeps a "stock" vibe except for the shifter knob showing a 5 speed!

To me it's the best solution by far and Passion had to make a huge commitment (risk) to move forward with this especially with all the trouble (grief) he has gone through. I'm not ready to buy one today but I sure want to buy one tomorrow when I'm at that stage. I'm really hoping for a breakthrough of some kind with availability. I just want both him and us to succeed.

I've been on contact w/John every 6 months.

His list is no shorter.

He'll supply a bunch (like maybe 8 or 9; not really a bunch) to Jamie, and a few to his close friends.

Every time I go to MATS in las Vegas, John Huff will have about 4-5 to sell right there. No list, no waiting. Must pay right there and take home on the spot.

Jim,

the .8 od is just not deep enough when running 3.91 or 4.10 gears. its the same problem with the gear vendors, its a lot of money for short overdrive gear, better than nothing I guess but where there are options for deeper overdrives for not much more cost, than that's probably a better way to go.

He tried to sell me one on Facebook that he had in stock.

I had no need or use for one.

Then, after I posted some FACTS he said he WOULD NEVER SELL ME ONE! LOL.

Never been in the market for one and never will be.

In all honestly. If you can't fill a back order 10 years long (or even 9) you have no buissness being buissness...turn it over to someone that can run it in. Timely matter......just look at the buissness lost. Just because of the wait
Not bashing the product. Just way the whole thing has played out....really zero excuse for it. I dont care if buddys are not
