Hello
I am wondering what shall I do with the headliner of my 70 Hemicuda. The interior is all original, in perfect condition as a 15.000 miles car should be. Some years ago a mouse got into the car and ate a piece of the headliner just over the passenger sunvisor. The hole is 3 inches x 3 inches, and if the sunvisor is up it is impossible to see it.
What shall I do? Put a new repro or leave as is? How are the repro headliners compared to the original stuff? Is there any difference in looks? Everything in the black interior is original, including carpet. Thank you for the advice.

Me I would find an piece of headliner from a donor of the same year and model or even a repo liner and have it patched it in by a professional. Your car may even have a piece large enough to do it like under some trim at the rear. Besides it will make a good "character" story when the sun visor is used wink smile I would NOT replace 99.99% of an original survivor headliner for a darn little rodent..................I'd spend the time hunting that little $%^&*(* down and......... grin

Me personally, As long as the sun visor covers it, leave it as is

The rodents...mother and little kids...were riding with me and my wife many years ago, unknown to us...When she dropped the sunvisor to get some shade... the little bastards fell on here bare legs. She started screaming like an eagle...I stopped on the side of the road, and the rodents ran away when she opened the door to exit the car. I still laugh today....

I’ve installed the Legendary oem stuff before and it looks pretty good. Get them to send you a sample before you decide. Me, I’d leave it alone. Patching would be hard to do. The old headliner is not that supple anymore and it would rip trying to go back in. I’ve got a small rip about an inch long in my oem AAR Cuda but I’m leaving it alone. I don’t have a cool story to go with mine either. Lol!

I'd wonder how long the critters were in there and what they left behind...
Last I heard, rodent poop isn't healthy.
