This is strange....the raised pad calls out: F 440, but the casting date shows 7-21-69....if it's an F stamped pad, shouldn't this be a 1971 block? shruggy

That casting date is valid for an F440 stamped block.

F is 1970
G is 1971

And with no issues me gut says that a decent buy on a running engine

Looks pretty much "plug & play", once the WP is painted.
I noticed the vacuum advance can isn't connected, so the curve probably needs tuning.

That's a lot of money for a non HP stamped engine w/ no compression, tiny cam, and log manifolds.

Yep.....looks to be a about 8:1 compressional if it’s lucky. Wierd build for 2020.

"IF" that's the VIN on the block, it would have been an orange HP stamped engine when new - NO 350hp "blue" 440s at LA in 1970

Car looks nice but this first pic is at the shop of a member here. Massmopar was his name I think. He was getting kicked off here again and again for arguing with fellow members who would call him out for being a flipper. I would be extremely cautious paying this kind of money for a car coming out of his shop.
