So last fall I had a major wiper linkage failure out on the road. A trip to the hardware store got me enough pieces to cobble the linkage together and finish the trip. But I lost the park function of the motor in the process.
Im thinking its because i substituted something for the offset bushing that fits the linkage at the motor arm. Now that spring is approaching, I'd like to get it fixed right.
I'll need all 4 bushings, anyone know who has them anymore? I think i got the last set of the small bushings from Year One but that was 20 years ago and I don't see them listed anymore. I reused the offset bushing but its lost a locating tab at this point.

Thanks, looks like they have what I need. I came up empty at a few other places.

Couple quick questions... Am I correct in assuming that the offset bushing is the likely cause of no park?
And motor identification, I have the sideways motor typically found on cold air cars, I believe this is the three speed motor, is that correct?
Thanks

Well, prior to the exploded linkage catastrophe, everything worked fine for over 20 years, so...
I figured id start with the basics and fix what I know is wrong. I know that there are different bushings depending on which motor you have. I want to order the correct one the first time.
And yes, i know that some motors do park without linkage hooked up, i just think this is a coincidence that the linkage fell apart AND i lost park at the same time.

The parts you bought should be all you need. The car I am restoring 69 Charger just had the 3 link bushings as well as a new cam and lock ring. Just make sure the link fits squarely into the off set bushing. Mine had a slight twist in it very minor to straighten.

Follow up, didn't touch the car last year, had to watch expenses after the wife and kid got laid off for the WuFlu.
Got into it this weekend and did some testing, found good ground and power to the park switch in the motor. Popped the cover off the motor and looked at the park switch, found dirty contacts. Cleaned it up and works correctly now.
Now to clean the front marker light sockets and get them working.
