I’ve ran a w2 strip dominator in the previous combo. I’m not opposed to getting a glass hood if it costs too much performance. I ran this combo with a small solid 251@050 and .556 lift and ran 11.80@120. The motor doesn’t seem to have the torque my previous 408 did. With the vehicle weight I feel I need to make a broad power band. FWIW heads flow 312@650 on Duane porters bench. And I’ve made only a hand full of passes. The new roller hasn’t been installed yet but will be this spring. I’m also not sure if I want to mill the Indy or just focus on the victor. It may still not fit.

As I recall when we talked about the solid cam, you were going to run W2 heads...... which are a better match for how the car is set up.
Isn’t the car set up with 3.55’s?
If so, then the -1’s and the Indy manifold aren’t well suited towards the rest of the package.

It was originally going to have w2 heads but that plan changed when it took months to get custom valves. I’ve also since changed to a 4.30 gear ratio. Now I need to work with what I have. New cam is 255/262 .640/.612 108lsa install at 104. Car did mph same with 3.55 as it did 4.30. But I’ve only made 5-6 passes.

My dad runs the Indy heads on his 408 and I run W2's, he has a flat hood and I've got a 6pack scoop on my car. The Indy intake would not fit under his hood so he uses the Victor W2 and I have his Indy intake on my car. On the dyno the Victor was only 4 HP different than the Indy.... Both low 10 second/high 9 second street cars.
Street car, 10.12 @ 132 with W2's and pump gas
