I was wondering who made the Pro Stock manifold for the 340 engine? It's a single plane intake and all it has is Pro Stock cast into it, no numbers.

Pro/stock was a line of less expensive parts. Made for or by pro/stock. Don't know if they produced their own parts of farmed out the work.

Wasn't that like a precursor to places like 440 source?

Looks like a knock off of the old Weiand Xcellerator design. Haven't owned one but I've read that the Weiand version was a great intake.

I had a Weiand Xcellerator on a 440 and it was a GREAT intake, it actually out performed the TM7 I had on it .

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I vaguely recall a few years back, knock offs of the Edelbrock Air-Gap were popular. Crosswind or Whirlwind or something like that was what they were called.
