Saw this on Denver CL today....

https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/estancia-1948-chrysler-new-yorker/7078923691.html

Seems like a deal, but how hard is it going to find parts? Probably about impossible..

It looks complete enough and clearly cheap enough to be a potentially cool project. If I had to have a 48 Chrysler I'd look for an Imperial - same nose and basic body but much bigger from the drivers door back. A boneyard near me has one of each and the difference is more than you'd expect.

From hanging around on the HAMB, the sort of person who would buy that isn't concerned too much with parts availability, they can make what they need but can't find.

That would be pretty cool with a chopped top

Everybody makes fun of a hillbilly until they need something fixed.

Reminds me of the same body style (DeSoto) Richie Cunningham drag raced (with Fonzie's help) on Happy Days laugh2
This would make a good rat rod or even a resto mod.

probably not as bad as you might think. I know someone who sells nos parts and he sold off the muscle car era stuff years ago. But has a warehouse of parts for cars of this era

I'll concede a certain amount of "a face only a mother could love" but there's no denying the gangster style. Ok, now I have to go rewatch Godfather and fast forward to when Vitto gets shot to see what he was getting in to.
