R/T1968R/T OP super stock Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 734 New York	Picked up two 1973 340 blocks. I cant figure out what the identification numbers mean. HELP!!!

AndyF I Win A Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 30,994 Oregon	Is the casting date Jan 1973? If so then the stamps might be 3M340 for 1973 Mound Road 340. The numbers usually aren't as messed up as the ones in your picture. Here is a picture of the stamping on a 1970 340 block that I have for sale.
