I talked to a guy the other day that knows some history on this car. He says it has 285,000 miles on it. The owner drove it on a regular basis for 50 years. The car was out on the local streets all the time in the 70's and 80's.

Yeah I believe him. He is familiar with most of the Hemi cars in the local area.

If so that might top the purple 1971 hemi GTX that Jim Valucas had.

Seems way to nice for 285k miles. I've owned tons of them that looked much worse and hadn't hit 100k.

I think that I know your cars, hulmule, and I think you may be a little short on what the X will sell for in a week. But you’ll be close. It’s 2hours away from my current location so let me know when to pick it up for you.

Fair question. You'll probably need to buy the car to find out. Might be able to figure it out if there is any documentation provided with the car. Sounds like the owner died without a will and no family so the state ended up with it. Given that situation it might be tough to track down much information.

Two days left and the bid is at 67k. So with the buyers fee of 13% that's 75.7k

while it is a "more expensive than I thought it would go for price" it would be a difficult car to match at any price for a serious collector VS an investor

I think there is value in the fact that you are not getting a car that's been thru 1 or 2 amateur/professional restorations in decades past & a pile of "flippers"
