Hopefully just a small hiccup on the way to some good numbers..

Back together , all is good I think we gained a little. It made 1211 hp @ 8100, 1206 @8500. Peak torque was 827 @ 7300 and falls off nicely. In the past we have always ran the break in on the dyno, this motor is pretty much untuned as it only has 3 pulls on it . The old 565 made 1222 with a good break in and a lot of thrashing. The new engine was pulled with only 12 inches of vac and break in oil still in it. In the past when we went from break in oil to thinner race oil we gained over 15 hp. When we raised the vac from 12 to 17 we have another 12 - 15 hp. We all know there is only 1 dyno that counts and we won't get there for a couple of months.

It is good to see someone else say the same things I think, the dyno is only a tool, the time slip and spark plugs are the final tool to use when trying to go faster

chuck was right , the engine did not blow up . It just needed a type cam bearing. the engine was completely disassembled installed a different style cam bearing. The world is all good. For any of you guys out there looking for a new engine " Best Machine " does a great job and stands behind their work.

Also I have a Rossler TH210 with a mopar bell, flexplate and adpter to go to mopar it comes with a billet all aluminum Neal Chance converter.
