Finally a HUSKER again
I was reading on a alpine white 440 superbird that the EPA used as a sniffer mobile to see how much the airplanes were polluting, see the car was on chasing classic cars, was sold, but that guy is great and never discloses prices or numbers,

Did it bring over 500K?

does anyone on here know history or details on it? Extremely interesting car!!

While I get the fact the the car is rare with a provenance, I would prefer a run of the mill wing car to this one. It just does not do much for me. Neat history though.

There were threads about it a few years ago on here a few years ago, so do a search. I may have posted some pics of it at the time.

Is that numbers matching as far as the color? If so, it must be 1 of 1

Took bad. Looks great in B3. My folks had a 69 300 that color. Only problem was the paint tended to fade fast but that was how it was back then.

If that thread was in the general forum a few years ago, it is long gone by now.

Yep...did not meet reserve at BJ in 2016.

Sure seems the owners have a totally different opinion on the value vs the rest of the world.

Wanted $750,000 and said restoration alone cost $700,000 which is hard to believe?

I don’t think the EPA mods add a single cent to the value, at least to me, Thats not provenance to me, it’s not tied closely enough to automotive history, racing etc.

I get that the EPA chose THAT car for a pretty cool reason, and that it was the best car aero wise for the job......but that’s it.

I see dead people . . . . .

I am not rich...but I get off my ass everyday to make sure I am not broke!

Can we get the Mexican cartels to help us with our supply chain issues? They don't seem to have any trouble getting stuff from one place to another.
