Thanks, Summit sites shows that they are 16 gauge instead of 18 gauge like all the other headers they show to fit that car work

Hey Cab,did you ever give these a shot? How did you like them? My old headmans bit the dust.. blew a hole I the #3 primary right next to the exhaust port. I really want Doug' 452's. But they're only available with a 2" prinmary !! confused ..don't wanna sacrifice the low end on my mild combo. i definitely plan on stepping up my cam in the future, so maybe the Doug's won't be a bad choice? This is a .040 over 440 with 10.3-1 compression and the .528 solid purpleshaft. Promaxx 210cc heads,Performer RPM,3600 stall 3.91 gears. Any info would be appreciated.

I hate to say this but I don't remember now blush
I have a new set of headers I bought and have only used on my engine run stand so that may be them confused
I bought a used set of Hooker headers for that car from someone on here and they are on that car now, they are well used and thin in some places so the other set may end up on that car this year wrench

Correct, I'm aware of that, speaking with them though, I was told the two headers are not the same dimensionally. Meaning, the Patriots may not drop in like the "great fitting Doug's 452's" . Anyone else have experience with the Patriots on an RB ? I have also heard the ceramic coated Summit brand headers are re-branded Patriots. ??

It looks to me the Patriot H8207-1 are just a copy of Hooker Competition 5903, with one important difference.....

Hooker Competition are 16 gauge tubing, patriot are 18 gauge tubing.

I had good luck with the Hooker stuff, the thicker tubing was quite nice, and reports I have seen of the Patriot stuff looks like it fits just about equally well
and the Patriot should be lighter weight if that matters at all.

The bends/configuration is basically identical so I would use either one with confidence.

Compare:

https://shop.patriotexhaust.com/pat...-383-67-74-metallic-ceramic-coating.html

here is a patriot installation report

ps Hedman 78030 also fit just fine, if you are okay with 18 gauge and the smaller 1.75x3" configuration.
