How many different castings were used for the 1970 440 HP engines? Looking at casting 2951736, mine has no date code on the top showing, just see a 11x11 on the bottom. Is this the date code as in 11 month 11 day? Would be interested in seeing pictures of original intakes on Superbirds as that is what mine is off of. I was looking for a duplicate of mine for a project and didn't realize how many different ones apparently were used.
Thanks!

2951736 is correct. I have seen them with date codes on top side and bottom side. I assume maybe there was more than one supplier. Or, they changed the date code location sometime during the model year. My guess is more than one supplier. Never studied it close enough to know more. There are several listed on Ebay right now if you would like to compare.

Thanks, I'll check both places out. Any Superbird guys out there, would like to know what was on your car if it is still a known original. The guys over at Dodgecharger.com ( aero car forum) can likely provide details on the intakes used on Super Birds. I am sure this question has come up before. You might want to post the question there.
