That does not look like a MP crate engine part number to me. I believe they all started with the letter P. I'm guessing that tag is the part number for the head.

Is it a small or big block?

I've got a 94 or 95 LA 360 MP crate in one of my cars. On the firewall end of the driver side head is a metal plate bolted to the engine. It's got the MP part number, serial number and a couple other bits of info on it. Dunno if that's how they shipped or it was transferred from the crate it came in. If you've got that tag, I've still got the old catalog and can look it up.

numbers that started with letter "r" are usually rebuilt parts. i just inventoried over 10,000 parts, no engines, but lots of starters,alt,m/cyl,etc. most were rebuilt by an outfit called dealers manufacturing. they still exist but don't think they do anything for chrysler anymore. i did not find a book on any parts from them so far

Here is a picture of the tag, it is actually below the head on the block.

Interesting, I did not know they had a tag like that.
