When I disassembled the axle bearings there was no seals inside the knuckle against the axle shaft. The shop manual shows a slinger, (which I have) a lip seal and a cup that the lip seal sits in. The lip seal is available and I have them. The cup is no where to be found but a seal is available that I purchased. Question is. Does this seal replace the lip seal and if so does the seals lip face the bearing with the axle riding in it? Thanks

I figured it out. Thanks

That style will have a slinger pressed on the outer axle, then a rubber seal. The axle goes in and a cup like part is set into the knuckle at a precise depth.
