No, it is like the one picture on here, short wheel base pick up body up
It has a lot more room in the drivers department than the Ford Econoline vans or early Chevy vans had, I had to drive both in the late 1960 working for a telephone company in SO CA.
Our Engineering Dept. had one Dodge A100 long wheel base passenger van with a lot of windows, but I never rode or drove it. shruggy
The Econoline vans had 170 C.I. sick six cylinders in them, they had a hard time maintaining 65 MPH down hill wit a tail wind whistling grin

Was that truck in Lodi back in the late 90's? I vaguely remembering seeing it out at Sac raceway and a shop in Lodi around that time.

Well, kinda been slow going, as a converter and trans change in our Charger needed done. plus a friend brought over his 63 fury tube car to get some things done. Did get my motor about done though. Hoping to hit it harder now....

The gauge was a extra one I had from a quad project. It was in a manifold that was inline on a coolant hose. Yep, oil filled. has a short sensor en. fit nicely in the housing.

All the oil filled gauges I've seen are influence by the heated oil when they get hot due to the oil expanding and influencing the needles whiney

i've thought of that as well cab, but i thought that really applied to very low pressure reading gauges like a fuel pressure unit.
i considered this type of coolant temperature gauge as a quick underhood check used with solid mounts.
i guess a guy could check the inaccuracy with a temperature gun to see how far off it could be, and use a mental note. [provided i could remember what that "note" was. biggrin]

Oil filled gauges were designed for LAB style use.. not on cars but people think they are better
because it cost more.. everything has a place

I can only speak to the accuracy of this one. It seems to be spot on with the mechanical auto meter, the last Time I used it....
