Ive got an S&W ladder bar kit on my Dart for probably 20 years now. I replaced the front heims as they do wear out , but other than that its been a great kit.

Chassis engineering outlaw bars. More $. But totally worth it with the adjustability they offer.

I like the idea of the safety loops. I was thinking you said your car is dead hooking the way it is, ?

Pay a few bucks extra for the double adjustable so you don’t have to take them apart to adjust. Then center the adjusters up when you assemble everything so you have room to shorten and lengthen the bars.

I like the idea of the safety loops. Which ever style you go with make sure they have the safety loops on the front heim joint. I know of 2 local racers that wrecked in the last 2 years due to front heims breaking. Both times the drivers walked away, but both cars were a total loss.

Money spent on maximum adjustability and strength is money well spent. Coilovers? Decent shocks are also a must.
What is your chassis shop guy recommending?
Backhalving the car? Minitub with stock frame rails? Really, with the systems and parts available for leafs these days, I don't think I would bother with ladders unless I was going to a big tire. Just getting the car lower can be done with leafs. And it can be made to hook.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

Why ladder bars? If you are using leaf springs a Calvert style bar is just as good. If you are going to coil overs, use a 4 link. A ladder bar is always too short and the IC will always be too high because of how short the bars are.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

I agree if I had caltacks I could never See me switching it to a ladder bar car. I know what caltracks are capibile of.
