If you lay a straight edge on the rocker to the quarter panel....does the quarter panel taper back ?

Im talking about the rocker from the front fender to the rear edge of the door, where the qtr attaches.

I have a Dart with original quarters and that's how both sides are, when you lay a straight edge the rocker is flat to the seam, then there is about 1/2 space at the very end of the quarter. I am replacing the lower part of the quarter right behind the door and I want to know if this is how it should be again.

ANY ONE HAVE A DART WITH FACTORY QUARTERS ON IT CAN LET ME KNOW ?

I can measure my '71 Demon when I get home this evening if that will help you? Not sure what year model dart you're looking for...or if it matters.
I have two '71 Demon here, both w/ original quarters on them.

I'd say yes there is a taper. I have a few factory quarter panel Darts laying around. What year are you talking about, as if that matters...

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.
