Installing 5/16” fuel and vent lines in a 70 Dart (340 with California emissions) and have some questions. What type of clips are used to retain the lines to the body? All three brake/fuel line reproduction companies have different setups. In addition, what line (supply or vent) goes on top through the oval hole in the body?

Found my original clips... the reproduction clips that I received for a 70 Dart 340 have a large R-shaped clip that had to be retained to the underbody with a fastener. When I disassembled the car, there were no R-Clips with a fastener to retain both the supply and vapor line .Below is a pic of all the clips that I kept.

Anyone know if a vapor/vent tube on a A-Body Slant Six with California Emissions is a 1/4" or 5/16"?

A little confused between whether you're dealing with a /6 or LA
According to master Tech, all '70 California cars got the Vapor Saver system

There's a slight difference in the bowl venting from /6 to v9

'70 Service Manual probably has more detail

The 4 clips at top of photo secure the line to the body. They just push into holes.
The 1 at lower left secures line to a flange.
The 5 at bottom center hold 2 lines together.
The 1 at right I don't recall seeing before but looks like another flange deal.

Typically the line is close to the frame rail in the engine compt, so the longer flange clip may be at the rear, like shock crossmember.

Don't know if this info helps, may be obvious to you, but that's all I have.

The one on the right hand side of the picture gets pushed in between the floor pan and the rocker panel. I've got two of them on my 68 Dart....one on each side. Their position is basically in line with the middle of the door. The originals have that hook on the top. The reproduction clips don't. The reproduction clips kind of have a serrated edge that grabs the floor pan/rocker when tapped in place. You can see it in the attached picture.
