Really don't hear near as much about him anymore. Like many of us he may be dealing with age and could have health issues.

On the Barrett-Jackson broadcast I thought they mentioned a certification letter on a Mopar form someone I had not heard of before.

Anybody know who I might be talking about. I think the first name was Mike but I could be way off.

Dave Wise seems to be the guru these days as far as blessing Mopars.

I am sure that is who it was. He is mentioned several places on the Barrett-Jackson website.

He appears to be the managing partner of this company:

https://www.mmcdetroit.com/

They do vehicle inspections, provide auction assistance and sell some collector guides.

One problem with 'made up' documentation is that it rarely gets called out when a car is for sale.

An obvious fake in this auction - https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Dodge-Challenger-RARE/124027400664?hash=item1ce09bf1d8:g:AgQAAOSwGrBeCLVt

But the seller does not mention it at all.........

As far as self proclaimed 'gurus' & 'certified' go, when they make bogus items for people as a service, they only hurt the hobby.

They hurt their own reputations as well, especially when they 'certify' cars that have bogus documentation they made up out of thin air.

Any cars history & reputation suffer when any bogus documentation item is introduced.

EDITED above to fix link.

Barry your link went to a FB site with a plane on it but not further??

I have had window stickers made a few times and like to see them on the window when the cars are shown. I would never put it out there as original and since it's laminated surely doesn't look original. Many people comment about it and the first thing out my mouth is that it's a REPRODUCTION that you can have made up now a days.

Wrong link, I edited it, thank you.

Some people are honest about items they have made.

Others are not.

Some mention that they had an item made when the car is for sale, etc.

But the next time the car is for sale, the new owner skips that detail & suddenly its real.....

People also take photos of the 'new' window stickers at shows.

The new ones are obviously bogus & they have the VIN of the car on them.

So, that history is tied to that VIN & is seen by many in any public venue.

I have three cars & I know who the selling dealerships were for each of them. None of them came with window stickers & I am not going to have any made.
