What are your thoughts on Milodon gear drives ??

My brother has two of them, both in Oldsmobile engines, and likes them a lot. One is a driver and it's been fine so far. You can hear them if someone tells you there are in there, but they are not really that noisy like twin gear floating setups that Chevy guys use.

Worse part is getting the lash set correctly.

I think you run some paper thru the gears to set up the gap and then drill the holes to attach the idler gear plate or something like that. They do come with instructions and worse case you just call them and they'll help you. Oldsmobile install may differ from the Mopar install too.

Had one on my 440 sb for about 10 yrs, no issues. Strip of news paper sets the lash.

In place of the factory timing chain setup, doesn't wear out like nylon chains do.

Worth every penny. I set the lash with a dial indicator. Never liked the paper deal.
