Finished up installing the Holley Sniper and Dual Sync on my 440/512 Charger over the holidays. Installed the Holley EFI ready fuel tank as well. Took my time and all went well. I switched to their later -203 Dual Sync distributor as it fit MUCH better with the Indy heads than the -103. Timing control is awesome. The car starts in 38 degree weather now, and has a much stronger seat of the pants feel than the carburetor setup. It's still learning, and unfortunately I've been too busy with customer cars to go out and enjoy it more. I'm still playing with the timing control, but the small changes I have made have been quite noticeable in regards to total and initial timing. This is the second Sniper I have installed, the first one on a customers 63 SS 409 4-speed Impala. His also was a tremendous improvement. About to install the 3rd Sniper on a 73 351C Q-Code Torino next.

Yes, the original dual sync distributor was a lot thicker than it needed to be and it caused clearance issues. The new one got the slim fast diet. However, you don't need a dual sync with the Sniper so you could've saved some money by using the Hyperspark distributor. I think the Hyperspark is about $100 cheaper and it is plug and play.

Did you put the XFlow on there? Looks like that engine might need the extra capacity of the XFlow.

No, I used the 650 horsepower version of the Sniper. Wasn't aware about the Xflow until after I purchased the Sniper. What I have on their now seems to be working fine, although I have never had it on the dragstrip.

Run a data log when you take it to the track and see what your duty cycle is. As long as you are in the 80% range you'll be fine. If the injector duty cycle gets up over 90% then you'll know it is time to upgrade to the XFlow.

Will do Andy, however I don't think my wife will let me race this one. This one is more of a cruiser with an over the top engine.

Glad you like it. We put the Holley Sniper on my sons Dart with a 400 eng. He ran it all last summer and now the eng is out as we are building a 451 we will be supercharging so some tune changes will be in order. But he loves it and its worked good for us. Course the more we fool with it the more we learn that we can do with it. We also put their dist in it and have it control the timing which he loves how much we can do to make the timing curve we like. Good luck with yours , Ron
