You would have to have almost Pro level funding just for the transportation and travel alone. It would be very hard to run that series with any sort of job either....so much for Street racing.... I was thinking the same thing. That's a lot of travelling! Tickets went on sale yesterday for the Darlington race in October and the Facebook post from the track was blowing up about it. Crazy how many people want to go see it. I'm sure it'll be a packed house. The last time the street outlaw guys came to Darlington it was PACKED.

If they can swing it, AND pull some locals in the mix to take a swing....WHY NOT?? Wonder if Bob is “all in” on this deal.... pretty grueling schedule for sure. Anyone realize JJ and his merry band of racers have been booking races at tracks all over.... and packing the house!! Makes me wonder if the fuel car guys would attract these crowds if they were still “allowed” to match race..... I definitely tune into these races a lot more than the so called “pros”.... but if they stay on track with the “team” crap, it’s going to kill it for me. Handicap Kayla going to rnd 2 on freebies got pretty old.

KEEP your eyes open for their sneakers getting pulled off their feet at the starting line on that NO PREP track ! When they came to RT66 last year, the track was completely scrapped down to the concrete when they started(no rubber,no glue). After the the final was run,I walked down to the starting line and from all the rubber being laid down, it was pretty sticky without glue being used.

I was thinking the same thing. Oregon has a No Prep series that runs on a few tracks and one airport. Pretty grass roots and cool IMO. Once TV got involved the entire no-prep/street racing thing once again became a fad. First the F&F thing and now it's SO lol. I'm glad people are interested either way.

Agree with it or not, Racetracks are making money off that style racing. the longer the tracks can operate the longer I can race my slow junk. I would be willing to bet the attendance rivals an NHRA meet.... Just wish one was closer than 7 hours.

Hey don't get me wrong. Butts in seats help keep drag strips viable. And ANY drag racing is better than 99.9% of the crap on tv. All good just not really "street racing" style. When run what you brung is a semi loaded with spare parts that is not what I have in mind. I would still go and watch and all. Maybe they will get more "local flavor" this way and that would be good. Todd Why are some of you guys hung up on the “street Racing” deal. This is not Street Outlaws. It’s No Prep Kings thanks god and they race on a drag strip where mature smart guys race. Most of us grew up doing it but wisely moved away from it (street racing” as we grew up.

Why do you think it took Big Cheese So long to join the party. He finally wised up and saw the writing on the wall that their street outlaws show was sucking hind tit. No prep at a track is where it’s at and Discovery Channel is probably very lucky no one was killed.

These are full blown, pure a$$ race cars, most with a pretty healthy budget running the series. Most of these guys have the top of the line equipment, at least the completive car do.

The no prep stuff is getting more and more popular around here. They had a $20k race at 710 dragstrip in NC the Saturday before Christmas and it was packed. Cars pre-entered from OH, NY, MD, etc. They start in the shutdown area. I'd have gone to watch but our big family Christmas party was the same night. I say watch, b/c there isn't a chance in hell of me running a no prep race. More like a demo derby, but fun to watch. They wadded up 3 cars that night. Dig or Die is the name of it, vids all over youtube of it.

August dates seem in the wrong order as far as traveling, imo. NHRA use to do the western swing from Denver to Seattle and then down to Infineon in CA. It makes a lot more sense to go from Denver to Infineon and then up to Seattle and then back to Brainerd, MN I'm sure the tracks have other events scheduled during the summer so maybe that was part of the decision making on this Any one have any idea how quick you need to run to qualify at theses races?

Cab...I'm not sure they let anyone other than the "regulars" run these races now. They used to let some locals try to "race in" the night before for a couple of open spots, but there was none of that this past season.
Pretty sure they all run at least bottom 4s in the 1/8. Some are 3 sec capable.

Best racing show on tv and not a good word to say about it. What a bunch of dorks. Lol. Hey Oprah’s on guys. Its a "reality" TV show using "street racers". I watch it at times but would not spend time or money to see it live. I'm usually at the track racing my car.

GOOD for those guys ... more power to them ... how much are those tix ? Tucson tickets are 20.00-30.00 for gen admission, no seats. Then 70.00-150.00 plus for admission with seats. Grandstand seating 70.00-80.00 to other club type seating, over 100.00.

You would have to have almost Pro level funding just for the transportation and travel alone. It would be very hard to run that series with any sort of job either....so much for Street racing.... We are all in but this is going to be expensive and grueling. I got a little sick to my stomach when the schedule came out but I know this will separate the men from the boys. We are completely self funded and get no money at all from the show. I am 100% committed to this season but unless I get some help we'll be out for anything further.

Looks like the circus comes to Pacific (Seattle / Kent WA)...... whooopie!??? 🙄 KEEP your eyes open for their sneakers getting pulled off their feet at the starting line on that NO PREP track ! The tracks are actually unprepped. They are scraped for the first 200-300 feet then scrubbed with Tide. As some rubber gets laid back down it starts to get decent on the starting line but the back half stays sketchy.

Rt 66 is $35 for general admission seating. I wonder if the ticket prices are set by each individual track. You wouldn't think so because I believe they rent the track. I was told by a Darlington official that NPK sets the ticket prices. He didn't specify if that was for the general admission, "special seating", or both.

With the TV exposure audience numbers I see over 1 million, you should be able to get some $$$$ assistance. This may sound off the wall but with this being an election year you could approach some PAC's or even the political party? Have you approached major corps with an exchange agreement or sponsorship in kind where no money changes hands? Some smaller companies would do that before writing a check. Good Luck and keep that Hemi up front. Allen

One of them is a labor union local which would be a good fit...I think.

Hey Bob when you see stuff blurred out on tv is that because they are a non paying (advertising) company or is it inappropriate for tv. I see chuck getting blurred quite often.

Who is it that has only a small section of the logo on his shirt - way lower left that’s blurred ?
It’s way too small for a phone number or web address ?
AND REALLY .... what’s up with that anyways ? The so called STARS of the program can’t puff a product or service that they want ??!! I'm sure lewd or other tasteless stuff will be blurred as well. It's their show so they can make the rules.

He doesn't strike me as a bad guy (probably an insanely loyal friend) but when he spit on that guy ages ago he lost me. No respect for that- at all. If you're that mad, fight the person but spitting is off limits. I was always pretty impressed with his driving when he was on small tires- I certainly won't take that away from him. I'm not a fighter, if I don't have to, and I don't like pain, which I learned in the Army basic training boot camp. That being said if some ones swings on me or threatens me or friends or family or was to spit on us I will make sure I and those with me don't get hurt first I can and will get that job done by any ways needed including a swift kick to the groin or knee joints, I learned that the hard way in high school while attending my last two years living in 29 Palms, CA .near 29 palms Marine Corp base, It was get tough or die That or stay home and never go out at night My message is my right foot and toes would have had immediate contact with some part of his body if he had spit on me His partner(CRS his name now) on this show did the correct thing after Chuck threw water on him, he put his water bottle down and commence the attack on Chuck
