Oddball here, operates “reverse” of a ramrod, verti-gate 2 or long shifter. Those shifters are “pull” for second, push third, pull fourth. This one is push second, pull third, push fourth... wondering if anyone knew anything about it or had run across one before. My brother thinks it is a special Jerico. Any information appreciated

Can't the levers on the tranny be put on the other way around to make it a more normal shift pattern?

Yep, the shifter arms move in a straight line, forward and backward in each pair of gears, how that responds to the directions the levers are pulled on the transmission is a function of how the levers are bolted to the trans. Pushing forward into second gear just seems backwards to a natural reaction. I would think that 2nd gear grab would be a bit slower having to push the lever forward. Gene

Well the three levers and no extra lever off the side tell me it's made for a Nash 5 speed. Looks like a very early Long shifter built by Leonard Long himself. What gear it goes into by push or pull is determined by the position of the levers on the transmission. Now I have seen this type of shifter mounted on the front of a Nash when used in an altered or or some other weird cars they used to build back in the day.

I don’t need the shifter, just an oddity that I have. Thought about reversing the levers and running it but just unnatural to me.

Reverse is the “top” gate. It also has a lockout, pretty intriguing. You can also see the ramps / gates for first they 4. Quite a bit smaller than my vgate, was thinking about using it to not have to cut the floor pan as much. It will be wall art
