Allied EH23. I can only find one source for a repair kit which appears to be an O-ring & a bushing they call a "u-cup". Just shy of $28 shipped. shocked
Any luck sourcing just an O-ring from a parts house or hardware store? Or am I going to have to bite the bullet and pay the ransom? wink

you could [should] be able to find an o-ring from a good industrial house, such as mcmaster-carr, but i don't really know what a "u-cup" might be.
all jokes aside, it might be just time/money ahead to get a new harbor fright jack for around $60. shruggy

Have you taken it apart yet? The o-ring only keeps residual oil and dirt off the shaft, it has no sealing properties against the pressure of the pump. If the pump isn't pumping up or is leaking at the shaft, its the cup that is the issue. I wouldn't take apart a pump without replacing that part - its the main point of failure.

At $28.00 you're halfway to the cost of a new jack from Harbor Freight. Why bother tearing it apart and hoping you can fix it? I have a bottle jack on my engine hoist that quit working. I thought about fixing it myself like you, but why go through the hassle when you can get a new one fairly cheap?

These cylinders usually have a tube that the ram seals to. The tube baloons and that is why it leaks. No amount of resealing will fix this. Buy the 8 ton unit instead of the 3 ton and you should be set for awhile.
