My experience with induction heating to gently install ball and roller bearing on motor shafts was really good.

we have a small hand held induction heater at the new car dealership where i work.
it worked great for removing rusty bolts on gas than straps on my 2nd gen ram truck without worrying about melting the plastic gas tank. it took a whole 10 min to replace 2 gas tank straps using it while laying on the floor and using a floor jack to hold up the tank.
i also use it all of the time for removing bonded spoilers off tail gates.

the techs really like it when they have to replace rusty shocks.

i have a friend who works at another body shop across town. they use theirs to remove bonded glass including windshields without any damage to the glass or the flanges the glass its bonded to.

if you have never used a induction heater you will be amazed how good they work. they really save you a LOT of time instead of heating bolts up with a torch.

I need one to free up the upright on my distributor machine, but a fully functioning replacement is probably considerably cheaper than one of these...

So what is the "magic", differential heating facilitating micro movement between the parts? work

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

They work great, but they ought to. Them things are EXPENSIVE!

Our local salvage yard bought one a couple of years ago to pull glass. The owner was saying he paid something like $1,200 for it. He didn't want to spend the coin, but his insurance coverage fairly well forced him to. And he doesn't like the fact that he has to bring the vehicle to the shop to pull the glass with the induction rather than take the torches to the vehicle. If you follow the links in original post, the machines can cost much more than even what he paid.

Most of the yards that I go to, just have their Mexicans pull the interior away from the glass and torch it out. If they had to buy one of those things at that cost and then turn their yard apes loose with it, I bet they would just quit selling glass.

But if Harbor Freight gets them in for a couple hundred bucks, I'm in. biggrin

the one we have at work is very similar to the above linked one.
it came with several ends and a holding box like this one only when you replace the coils you twist the ends instead of using set screws
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Mag...Remover-Repair-Machine/32970570380.html?

we got a few different ends, the coils wind differently so you can put the coil end straight on what you are heating on not a 90* like the posted one, and a like a loose rope one i use for spoilers. i think replacement coils are like $10 when they burn out.
