Is the ex steel and the intake aluminum? Looks like overkill if the intake is steel, considering the exhaust takes a greater load. Beautiful stuff though.

... The exhaust rocker works a little harder then the intake... Didn't see a performance advantage for the dollar spent with this combination... We are running very low Spring pressures on this motor.... Spring pressures that would make most people cringe

Light valve + light retainter/lock + light spring = lower spring pressure. For instance look at the springs specced for modern stuff with, say a .750 lift cam compared to the drag racing section. Take 50g off the intake valve using Ti valves and 100g using an ovate spring and spring pressure requirements drop. At least that is what I am hearing from vendors for the N/A applications. FWIW the cam grinders are insisting we keep the big spring pressure (250/770) with the n20.
Does this engine have Ti valves on bith jntake and exhaust?

Spring pressures that would make most people cringe With spintron testing, its crazy what they are getting away with on spring pressure this year. I have a big block that see's 8-9000rpm all day. Has T&D steel rockers and never have had an issue with them.... see the large offset BBC rockers break all the time.. FWIW I run 525#'s closed and 1485 # open

Out of curiosity what is the OD and installed height of that spring? 1.350ish set up for about 1in off lift. And under 200lb on the seat

I have seen guys use a spring with say a 2.00" installed height at 2.050-2.100 to drop the seat pressure and gain IH for more lift. I have looked through a ton of spring catalogs and never saw a spring with less than a 1.400 OD over .850 lift. I'd be interested to know if the spring is ovate wire? Sorry for the barrage of technical questions this is a topic that has been on my radar in a big way.
