Anyone know what this thing is?
Don't have any other pictures of it.
Looks like some kind of tool or things to hang on, like maybe a ladder??

Lineman ladder hook.

To the right appears to be a bottle cap press.

You were kind of on the right track unfortunately the train doesn't go through there anymore, it was really " NASA scientists with their board of calculations, 1957 Six unidentified scientists uses a ladders and a large chalk board to work out equations for satellite orbits at Systems Labs, California, 1957." but a great (and very funny guess) and thanks for posting that I coffee and about choked when I saw that. up up

I believe it's a lineman's cope hook for moving live wires. Needs a good non conductive handle/pole to be useful.

That is one of the several attachments used on "lay op sticks" used in telephone work on outside plant, wires, trees and so on. I had and used one for many years doing telephone line work and telephone installations work wrench We had tree trimmers operated by rope, tree saw and several other attachment to make our work easier and faster by doing some of it from the ground up The sticks where right at 60 inches long, male and female ends so you could use one, two, three or four by assembling them hook together to reach up to 30 ft. or so.
Ours where all galvanized, no paint. That is the first one I've seen painted shock
I can't remember the proper name of that tool now, it has been more than 35 yrs since using one shruggy

That's not a ladder hook way too small. I worked as a power lineman for 37 years and we had them and it went on pole extensions we used it to move wires, phone lines. cable tv, branches, pull limbs out of trees, grab the end of a rope or about anything we couldn't reach from the ground. Never used if for high voltage and never really had a name for it other than go get the hook. Lol

Pole pikes have a spike on the end of them that you stuck in the side of a pole to move it and hold it straight until you get it tamped in. Most all trucks have pole claws to hold the poles now but you can't always use the truck and when using a crane we use them to push the pole against the side of the boom so you can use the crane to straighten the pole.

back when i was a volunteer fireman [i finally remembered/cleared the cobwebs from the back of the old/tired memory bank bump] a "few" days ago, we used a multi pronged tip like was originally shown [with wooden handle of course] to poke and rip/pull/push burning walls and other obstacles/debris. we called those pike poles at the time.
they did not have a single pointed tip as shown in the last posted pic, so we may have been calling them the wrong name.
they definitely looked like the lineman tip.

You win wire raiser attachment. And used it alot to raise drops to houses in alleys so we could get our trucks in without tearing them down.
