I have a very similar socket organizer to the one Sniper posted, just bigger. Holds all my SAE & metric sockets, 1/4, 3/8, & 1/2. I also have an almost identical set of wrench organizers. Screwdrivers are just lined up small to large in their own drawer & the same with pliers. My wife used to tell me I was OCD because I did that. I told her I didn't think so since for me to make money, it made sense for my tools to be organized so I could open a drawer and grab what I needed, not spend several minutes pawing through tools looking for one particular one. I do this too. Old habit leftover from my flight line days. It's not very space efficient, though--can't fit as much in the drawers this way But it's easy to find things and easy to know if something is missing...

I bought a new tool box for my car trailer, as I was tired of loading and unloading tools from my garage to go racing. Menards has a bunch of good tool organizing stuff, and even WalMart has stuff. I used a kitchen drawer organizer for some stuff.

That looks nice, Jeff. That's more tools than I could find in your shop!

I have a reall hodge-podge of wrenches, different brands ect. I have my drawer split into 5 areas with two peices sheetmetal bent into a wide-flat 'U' (or a 'C' channel...). I put everything smaller than 3/8 in the left side, everything larger than 7/8 on the right side. The middle three are split with three different sizes in each area, all are VERY easy to pick apart when you're searching.
Less | 3/8 | 7/16 | 1/2 | Larger
Than | 9/16 | 5/8 | 11/16 | Than
3/8 | 3/4 | 13/16 | 7/8 | 7/8
This'll sound a little dumb, but after you use it a while it works really easy.

I have a Plastic Box with some Husky Tools I keep in the trunk and or use at the U-Pull-It added some things so is really an emergency kit it works OK to keep things in place as it has a compartment for loose stuff I added. I have the largest stuff picked up in cabinets in sections like auto body, etc. Have boxes dedicated for things like Die Grinder and Sand Paper Rolls bottom is buffing wheels and compounds The main toolbox is neatly done so I can find stuff
