Hey Gang...
Getting into finishing the restoration of this '70 Grand Coupe Barracuda ragtop. I am going to buy ALL fastener kits and body gasket kits... Any recommendations when it comes to these e-bodies? I'm usually a B-body guy.. Owner has brought me all the components and put what fasteners he has all in a box and figure out.. I know pretty much all of them, but they are the original dirty and corroded nuts/bolts/clips/etc... So, I told him I'm going to get all new fastener kits..

Never heard of a Grand Coupe, it might be Gran Coupe BP27.

Chrysler should have called it a Grand Coupe.

Hi Troy, cool project. I have a similar convertible, but it’s a Challenger. It’s a loaded JH27N0B car, optioned like an SE would have been if the SE package had been available on convertibles. If you need any reference pictures let me know I’d be happy to run out to my garage and take some.
I bought some fastener kits and individual fasteners when I was reassembling my T/A project a couple years ago. I had mixed feelings on the interior fastener kit I bought. It was very well organized and the different fasteners were in numbered bags with a reference sheet telling what they were which was great. However the quality of many of the screws was not impressive, they might as well been made of plastic as the heads would easily start to deform if you put much torque on them with a screwdriver trying to install. I ended up cleaning up and reusing many of my original fasteners.

Judging from the “quality and accuracy” of the “new” fastener kits that you have your heart set on buying(don’t do it!), the “new” nameplates and badges must all say Grand Coupe on them. Give poor Troy a break, if those great repro. parts say Grand, then you can’t fault him. Is this a 2bbl car or four bbl? Do you have the fender tag or broadcast sheet? Please share some details if possible.

Anyone can go back & edit a title post if they choose to correct errors / typos.

It is not rocket science.
