Most of the stuff that people think is chrome is actually stainless steel. Try paint stripper or solvent/reducer. I tried that. Theres just way too much paint on the trim.

What car has the trim held on by screws? To answer your question the safest way is use the same reducer that you used in the paint. I'm talking about the front windshield trim. There are no screws holding it on. How does it come off? Going to try the reducer today without taking off the trim but I think it's not going to work. Basecoat clearcoat has been on for months now.

You need a special tool to release the inside fasteners on most Mopar front windshield trim used on 1968 A bodies, not sure about B and C bodies
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

I bought trim remover kit from Harbor Freight cheap. I knew it wasn't the kind of think I needed often or in high quality. It has several pieces and all the ones you may need.
Facts are stubborn things.
