I’ve got a purple shaft out of a 440 with the number 20086h stamped on the end. I measured the lift and it looks like .496 on the intake and .487 on the exhaust. Does anybody have any numbers and specs on a purple shaft like this. I’m not going to reuse it but I’d like to know the duration @ .050. This motor has poor vacuum. After figuring the true CR, it needs more than just a cam. It’s only 7.6:1.

is that lobe lift or calculated valve lift with 1.5 rocker arm ratio ?

How you measured the valve lift would be helpful. If you measured it at the valve then what rocker arms it has would also be important as most rockers aren't exact, especially stock rockers. Also is this a hydraulic or mechanical cam? If it's a mechanical cam then what was the lash?

The cam is out. It’s is a hydraulic cam. I assume that’s the H on the part number. I measured it by measuring the base total lift then subtracting the base circle. Yes it’s not perfect but it gets me in the ball park. I figured the lift @ .050 was over 230. The cam had a little lope to the idle and only pulled enough vacuum for one application for the power brakes at 7-8”of vacuum. I figure the 7.6 compression ratio was hurting vacuum as well. I have no idea if the cam timing was even checked on this build. They missed some simple stuff and used cheap parts so no telling about this one.
