Hmm. I hesitate to say this but Bill has this big wash pot in the back of shop and he just boils them in some secret concoctions. Comes out nice, doesn’t it? Lol! Honestly though, Bill works pretty hard with his platers to get things right. Pictures of carbs look way different in pictures and different light. He did a set for my bird that were pretty grungy. I had an NOS date coded center carb just days from my oem carbs. There was no difference in the finish at all. He’s just slow like me. I need to send him another set. I just keep putting it off!
