My goal all along was to purchase a 2020 Challenger. I figured with the 50 year anniversary they would offer something special. All I've seen so far is a stripe package and some stitching on the seats. I'm a little disappointed aND I am now considering a 2019 with some saving incentives. A few years back there was a guy mentioned on here that was the place to go for the best pricing on Challengers. Is this guy still around, or are there options for special pricing?
Thanks
Jim

We bought our 2018 Scat Pack from Koons Dodge in Tysons Corner Virginia around this time a year ago. Best deal by far, we drove down from Pittsburgh. Nothing close to the deal we got or selection available up here. Of course we went through the usual urinating competition with our trade in but we got it worked out. The car is a blast and was worth the trip.

Check out Laurel Valley Motors in Latrobe, PA. Talk to the sales manager Brant Schroyer & tell him Eric from Michigan sent you. You'll see what I mean.

Good luck in your quest.

I didn't check the prices, but the last time I was at Superior in Conway, Arkansas it seemed they had 1 of every package Challenger available.

I have been told to talk to Erica Ramsey, sales manager at Koons Dodge for the best price. The claim is they bought over 200 scats, cats, and 27 redeyes.

Man...looked at Koon's website. 204 Challengers on the ground!

You will need to be more specific in what package you want no matter where you go as the price varies a lot and won't reflect a true apples to apples.

If they do have something extra special for the 50th... they may not announce it until late spring. shruggy
A lot of the limited run(<500) modern special edition Challengers/Chargers weren't announce until very late in the year. Example the one I have wasn't announced until the Tuesday before Carlisle in July of 2010 and delivered in Nov '10... same time the 1st 2011's were starting to hit the lots. They continued to pull that late release date crap with all the Mopar cars that followed.

Who knows, they may release a limited run 426 special 50th edition 2020 Challenger in June...
And deliver it in time for Christmas. whistling

Koons has both colors in a widebody, with a 6 speed.

I work about 2 miles from Koons in Tysons. Too bad I'm not in the market for a new Challenger.

From Hunt Valley, MD, it's not much more than an hour's drive, IIRC where HV is (near Baltimore?)... at least without traffic.

I've checked out Koons, I have found a much more optioned Challenger for about $1500 more than what they have advertised. But, I do like the Granite one they have.

I bought my granite widebody last month. Basically was $8k off. I probably could have found a wb cheaper but I couldn’t find granite with red interior and brakes. Now it is in “paint jail”. I’m having the twin rally stripes painted on in a black pearl. They are wider with pinstriping similar to the old Cameron/chevelle type. They have disassembled the car to paint it.

Be prepared to be bored as street driving these cars limits their potential. I've owned two newer Challengers and a Charger and putting along at 2000 rpm 75 mph will put you to sleep. The newer challengers are going to be fun beaters in 10 years until then I can't justify the price of doing business. twocents

I decided to sell acouple rides and get a Challenger- but I like the earlier ones.
I picked up a one owner 2012 Challenger Classic Plus with super track pack RT Blackberry Pearl on black interior with 28000 miles. Was traded in as 7 year extended warranty had expired.
I bought from original selling dealer and bought the factory max plus warranty= bumper to bumper for 5 years 60K miles- $100 deductible.. If you find a Certified one- mine was 4 months to old- the warranty is cheaper. Love the car. $38000 car for $20000
Just something to think about....

This is probably the worst advice you can take. Keep in mind, when you drive a street car or D.D. a performance car, you realize that your not pushing it to the limit every day, all the time. But when you do, it's worth every SMILE PER GALLON. Buy what you like, want, and can afford without any regret/negative impact it could irreversibly have on your home. I've had R/T and SRT'S, all have been a blast.

You're going to love your new ride.

I first joined the "new" Challenger crowd with my 2012 R/T Classic. Then sold it after I ordered a 2016 Scat Pack Shaker, which we still have. My conclusion, the new ones are neat, but I'd much rather pleasure drive an old Cuda or any nice musclecar from the muscle era. Much more visceral. I love the feel, sound, & smell of driving an old musclecar. Anybody want to trade something really mint for a perfect 5500 mile PCP Scat Pack Shaker?

I know I was looking forward to see what they had in store for 2020 as well....I too am disappointed. Having said that there still are lots of cool choices and options to have. I am sure now is the best time to buy because of the season. What car are you leaning to buy?
