Contacted Stockton Wheel for some custom 15X8 front wheels for my 1972 Dodge Charger Rallye. I needed the wheels with 3.75 back spacing, but their welder said he need room to make a nicer weld and offer a backspacing of 3.7/8 inches. I am planning on running Cooper Cobra 245/60R15 in the front and need to know if there will be clearance issues. Front end consists of Magnum Force non-adjustable tubular upper control arms, stock lower control arms, firm feel power steering box, 1973 a-& body spindles with 11in rotors, 1972 pin type calipers and front swaybar. Future upgrades may include larger diameter swaybar fast ratio upgrade. Does anyone know if that would have clearance issues? It costs $200 a rim so wanted to be sure before I buy it. I do plan on having slog of passengers and enjoy the corner’ so that might affect it to. Any have info of thoughts?

I ran 245-60-15's on my 72 Charger with 15x7 wheels and 4 inch back space with no problem. I also had the big 11.75 brakes and larger sway bar. Plenty of room. Any reason your going 15x8 with the 245 tire? 15x7's are fine for those.

I have 15x8 on front of my 1970 Cuda and the same tire seemed to work well with it.. Also, rear will be 15x10 295/50R15, so I wanted something that the tire looked good with yet not looking too big like the rear wheels, if that makes any sense.

I have 255/60-15 ( which is wider by one cm ) on all 4 corners on my 74. True on 7" rims with 3.75 bs as far I recall. To me that's the perfect match.

Thanks guys, that's great to hear. So I can run 255/60R15 tires on the front with either 7'in or 8'in rims. Though I would like to have a wider tire patch on the front. Even if it does not seem like much, I think it would be good for the ride quality for that extra inch worth of rim. Hey, I could be mistaken, but that's why I'm on here asking questions. I do have a set of stock 15X7 here that would work well and I'd probably save $400 not needing buy them, so I could go that way with 7in front. If anyone has any more info, please feel free to post. I appreciate all the insite on this.
