Looking at you basketcase...

Been awhile since I was in the area and decided to use wikimapia to see if Rocky's was still around. Sure looks like it, but it also looks like they're just bringing in fill dirt and burying cars to make room for more?!

Is that what's happening? They must have buried a thousand cars so far.

Lots of old iron in there, would love to just wander around for a day. Who knows what i might find.

Look it up in satellite images, its huge.

Rocky's is a strange yard. I've heard over the years they have some rare stuff in there stashed in buildings, but they never let anyone go in the yard. One time, years ago, a buddy needed a rear seat for his '68 Coronet. There was a '68 Charger over a pretty steep bank inside the yard near the office. They let the two of us go down to the car and get the seat while a worker stayed up top and watched us. Haven't been past the yard any closer than on Rt 7 for a long time. I'll hafta make a run past there.

Kinda what i remember. I used to be in the area on weekends quite a bit about 20 years ago. Never got the chance to actually stop in, usually closed by the time I got to town. Locals i knew said rocky was funny about people looking.

I do remember driving alongside it on 4ridge and thinking it was over a mile on the one side. Looking down on all the cool old stuff sitting there.

At least it's still around unlike the yards in my area.

I used to spend a lot of time down the road at Flescher's, when they were in there original spot. On top of the hill were some Edsel's,bunch of flathead Fords, and some other old stuff back in the early '80s.

Fleshers is another i heard about but never got into.

There's a place in Caldwell that's back in the woods, i think it was Mishlins or something like that. Looks like its still there.

Really found it by accident, some locals told me about it. The directions were turn into the trail going into the woods by the blue mobile home. After going up the hill for maybe a quarter mile, i figured they sent me on a wild goose chase. Then i came to the clearing. Big open area, pretty good number of cars, mostly muscle era stuff. Somewhat organized and free of excessive brush. I scored a nine set of bumpers from a 68GTX.

went past Rocky's yesterday. Pretty close to Rt 7. From what I could see, they still have a ton of cars, and it didn't look like they were burying any.

Rocks, you talking about the place behind Nelson Ledges race track? Its still there, still weird people. My wifes family been dealing with them for close to 30 years.

You probably remember Schultz's near 193 and 7?
