I have a solid core. It was on an Arizona car for only 5 years so the chrome is 9 out of 10 and it's got a couple dents in it.

Don't want to use it but I'm getting quotes twice the price of reproduction replacements.

How are the reproductions, are they half the quality?

Yes they are. Thinner metal. Poor chrome. Chinese guys work cheap and the end results is just what you pay for. An American shop paying American wages and triple chromed is much nicer. You just got to find a shop that has good work ethics.

When Tamraz had their 50% off deal last year I bought new front/rear AMD bumpers for my Dart. They look decent. The chrome on the rear bumper is nice. The front bumper is still nice but not as nice as the rear. If you look close you can see some lite sanding marks. Not sure if I'm going to use them or not. They were so cheap though, if I don't use them, I shouldn't have a hard time getting my money back. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for.

...The AMD bumpers are OEM equivalent in the fit/finish department (Nickle/Chromium), if you want show chrome (triple plate) then you have to pony up

Here's a random FB post I pulled up...

Thanks for the feedback guys. Since it's not a numbers or show car. Mostly for street and strip play. The OEM equivalent quality is more than enough.

Just was hoping my very decent core was more than just a core but it is not good enough for a fresh paint car. Too bad there was not enough money to put the best of everything.

I put AMD bumpers on my road runner in 2012. still look great. Fit perfect. More OEM than show chrome.Jeff @ 521 Restorations. Great guy. Usually has discounts for moparts members
