I had one of those a long time ago. It had a 440 in it but I just used the factory manifolds. Should be plenty of room for headers, see if Doug's has something that will fit.

My 2wd 440 truck has Hooker headers on it, it's a bit of pain to stop the sparkplug boots from burning through. I started using NGk shorty plugs to move the boot away from the tubes.

I had the same problem when I put new headers on my road runner. Summit has Titanium sleeves for $20 that solved the problem.

On my 74 D100 2wd 440 and my 77 4x4 Ramcharger 440 I use 78070 shorty Headman headers on both and they fit great.

These sleeves are the bees knees. I got mine at a local store eons ago and they look like they'll last forever.
