For those of you using them, what points are you using for street use.

Using the original dual point that came in my street Hemi.

They are getting hard to find. I don't know of any reliable source for new points and condensers. I just search the web looking for NOS and NORS parts. The condensors are the worst. The replacement condensors they sell are junk junk, from China, one-size-fits-all variety.

You would be farther ahead buying a Pertonix Elec conversion - Summit part # PNX-1382

Thanks. I just did a search on Moparts and read an interesting thread that sort of confirms what has been said here already.

I have a few good sets of points and condensers and that’s it. So I guess I’ll just look for old stock somewhere in the meantime to shore up my small inventory.

I notice Accel sells some stuff - is this stuff a gamble too ?

Damn, getting decent condensers was a crap shoot when I got in the business- 35 years ago. Good luck with that.

If you run an MSD box with your points, their lifespan will increase tremendously as they will only function as a trigger for the box.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I'd think Joesixpack should be able to fix you up with whatever you need. OEM or aftermarket, whichever you want.

July 19th should be "Drive Like Rockford Day". R.I.P. Jimmie.

Transman, talk to Gary at KIng automotive in Utica. I buy a couple of sets a year from him and have not had any issues .
